Zip Fruit Sapota Powder Hummus: A Healthy Chocolate Treat

Who doesn’t love chocolate? Every once in a while, I crave it just like anyone else. It's been over three years since I quit milk chocolate, though I occasionally enjoy dark chocolate. When I started making this recipe, it became an instant hit in my home. Not only is it delicious, but it’s also super healthy, packed with protein and fiber. This hummus is great for parties, after school snack, as a midday snack, or to satisfy your chocolate cravings.

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Serves: 2

The perfect dessert dip for healthy snacking!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed OR 1 1/2 cups cooked black beans

  • 3/4 cup nut butter of choice

  • ½ cup cacao powder

  • 3/4 cup Zip Fruit Sapota Powder

  • Water, to reach desired consistency (I added about 1/3 cup)

Instructions:

  1. In a food processor, combine the black beans, nut butter, cacao powder, and Zip Fruit Sapota Powder.

  2. Blend well until smooth.

  3. Gradually add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.

    • Note: This recipe will thicken as it sits in the fridge, so add a little more water than you think you need.

  4. You can store in fridge for about a week.

Enjoy this healthy, chocolatey hummus as a dip or spread! My favorite way to enjoy it is with strawberries.
